End-Point-Assessment

End-point-assessment (EPA) is an assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you have learnt throughout your apprenticeship, this confirms you are occupationally competent.

Assessments have been designed by employers in the sector and are conducted by independent bodies known as end-point-assessment organisations (EPAOs).

Your employer will have chosen an end-point-assessment organisation at the beginning of your apprenticeship. Your training team in partnership with your employer will explain the specific EPA requirements with you as each apprenticeship standard varies, but don’t worry we will make sure you have all the information you need to achieve successfully. Before you move to EPA you will pass through a ‘gateway period’, this just means we will check you hold all the required components you need to progress to the assessment, this includes evidence of English and maths achievement, but may also include a diploma or other qualifications deemed mandatory by your standard. Again, don’t worry this will all be explained to you at various points during your programme.

You will only get your apprenticeship certificate after you have passed all the elements of the end-point-assessment.
