About our Apprenticeships
About us
Our Nuns Corner campus, located in the centre of Grimsby, is the main provider of technical and professional training in the region.
The vast array of training options includes Further and Higher Education choices offering apprenticeships, community provision, business training, work-based training and commercial activities. We deliver across several apprenticeship standards which have various delivery models which include: day release and block release on campus and wholly in the workplace, some may mix all three delivery methods, it depends on the apprenticeship and the agreement we have with your employer.
Apprenticeships are an ideal way to earn and learn. As an apprentice you are fully employed and will have one of our industry-experienced work-based trainers, working with you within your workplace. As an apprentice, you will have access to all facilities at the institute, as well as ongoing support and guidance.
Once you have completed your apprenticeship and been successful at end-point assessment there are some great opportunities to progress to a higher-level apprenticeship (if supported by your employer) or continue your studies within the college or our university centre. Our learner engagement and services team will support you along the way.
Where do we deliver?
At the Grimsby Institute, we deliver across North, North-East Lincolnshire, Louth to the east coast down to Skegness and some parts of Greater Lincolnshire and the Wolds.
